Women's Role Relevant To Western Religious Traditions Such As Judaism, Christianity And Islam
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. All religions had their beginnings in much the same manner; it is how the individual faith flourished and expanded that ultimately determined how it separated from the rest. Because Judaism, Christianity and Islam all sprouted from much the same system of belief, it is not surprising to find that throughout the centuries and very much into current day practices they have become even more related by religious context, as well as completely detached by the manner in which women's roles are relevant to each respective tradition. Bibliography lists 8 sources.

Women's Roles in 'Madame Bovary' & 'Mary Barton'
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page paper looking at the way social influences in the nineteenth century limited women's options by limiting their boundaries to the home. Women's Social Status In Ancient History As Compared To Mesopotamia, Rome And Greece
[ send me this paper ]
7 pages in length. Within the realm of life exists inherent elements to one's existence; paramount to man's existence is the concept of natural rights. Philosophers have long postulated what, exactly, these rights consist of within the massive scope of mortality, with some contending that natural rights are those that are without social infiltration, while others attest to the fact that natural rights are doled out only by social status. From century to the next, the issue of natural rights has evolved from overwhelming gender oppression to the recognition – in many parts of the world, at least – that women maintain just as important a place upon this earth as does her male counterpart. Women, Judaism And Anti-Semitism
[ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. Anti-Semitism is expressed in many forms and by many different people with the common denominator being discriminatory, disparaging and/or hostile attitudes toward Jews. While the typical understanding of anti-Semitism is most reflected as intolerance from people outside Jewry, most do not consider how Judaism has a history of discrimination against its own people - women. Therefore, the inferior status of women happened because of internal anti-Semitic attitudes that involved gender bias and not because of social or political tenets. If Jews had followed their own teachings, they would have recognized the inherent value of women rather than imposing harsh discrimination upon the very people who nurtured their children and tended to their husbands. Women’s Equality in New Zealand?
[ send me this paper ]
A 5 page discussion of women’s progress in New Zealand. While we most often acquaint the quest for women’s equality with the more technologically advanced countries of the world, that same quest has been intense in many lesser developed countries as well. New Zealand’s current political makeup is often contended to testify to the advancements women have made in the country. Indeed, the offices of Governor General, Prime Minister, and the Chief Justice are just a few of the high visibility positions now occupied by women. This accomplishment is, however, very limited by women’s socioeconomic status. This paper examines the fact that many women in New Zealand continue to struggle for equality.
