Divorce As It Affects Children
[ send me this paper ]
A 10 page paper discussing current social research and the views presented in the popular press in light of the legal aspects of divorce. Among legislators and researchers, there is nearly as much debate now over the effects of divorce on children as there was in the 1970s. Research design has changed and more long-term longitudinal studies have been made, but opinion appears to be split much along the same lines as it was 25 years ago. There have been significant changes in the popular press, however. Few current articles discuss the effects of divorce on children, choosing rather to focus more on time management technique for single parents as if being a single parent is inevitable. Bibliography lists 17 sources.

This literature review briefly looks at three studies that examined the long-term effects of divorce. The results of these studies call into question the rationale that everyone involved benefits from divorce, focusing specifically on the effects of divorce and separation on mothers and their children. Domestic Abuse in Australia
[ send me this paper ]
10 pages in length. Wife-battering is one of the most widespread under-reported crimes overseas and in Australia. One difficulty in obtaining accurate statistics regarding the frequency of wife-battering is that victims themselves do not report it. Many women 'keep it in the family' and normalize abuse while others are unaware of the means by which to report it or else fear doing so. This paper explores the understanding of the social and cultural subordination of woman and the topic of domestic abuse in Australia. Delves into the causes and dynamics of family violence. [ send me this paper ]
6 pages in length. This excellent research
paper describes that the public has gained a broader
understanding of the issue of domestic violence and now realizes
how significant a problem it has become. Spousal abuse was once

tolerance towards domestic violence – at least in the United
States – has reached an all-time low. No longer are men

for it. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
