In his text Extraordinary Minds (1997), Gardner expands on his ideas concerning intelligence by taking a biographical approach and closely examining the lives of four people who exhibited extraordinary mental development: Mozart, Freud, Virginia Woolf and Gandhi (Weiss 45).
